Flight simulation addon developer Just Flight has published a development update examining their upcoming Avro RJ quad-jet airliner for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The update goes into some depth in regards to the new aircraft’s systems coding compared to the British Aerospace 146 which Just Flight released in May of this year.

All 20 of the digital displays that you can find in the Avro RJ are now modelled and showing readings. Work has also been completed on the aft centre console, which features VHF COM and ADF controllers, a new transponder, flight data recorder, ELT, flight deck door controls and brake temperature indicator. Simulator pilots seeking a more modern cockpit setup will be right at home using these features, which are also present in popular 21st century airliners.

In addition, Just Flight have confirmed that the Avro RJ Professional will ship with 30 new liveries at launch, covering the RJ70, 85 and 100 variants. The team say that a lot of work has gone into getting the finer details such as rivet and label placements as true to life as possible.

Just Flight are also in the process of developing a Fokker F28, PA-38 Tomahawk, and a new traffic injector program called FS Traffic.

The update signs off with an optimistic assessment that Just Flight aim to share preview videos of the new systems in the coming weeks. FSElite will bring you all the latest news on this upcoming aircraft as we receive it.
