Danny G. Rieves

Danny was a Lakeside High School graduate. He worked at Reynolds Continuous Rolling Mill and retired from there after 38 years of service. Danny was the kind of person who never met a stranger and was always making people laugh with his witty comebacks. He enjoyed cooking and sharing with others and was always looking for new recipes. He liked working with wood and blessed so many with gifts from his woodworking skills. Some of his favorite things to do were listening to music, watching war documentaries and movies, and going for long drives. Fort Walton Beach was by far his favorite place to vacation.

His family meant the world to him, and he loved them dearly. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. The last several years his beloved dog, Cue, has been his constant companion. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Danny is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Nora Rieves, of Hot Springs; three sons, MSgt. Michael Rieves, U.S. Air Force, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Zach (Christy) Rieves, of Hot Springs and Cory Brannon, of Hot Springs; three daughters, Rebecca (Josh) Baker, of Mount Ida, Rachael Mayberry, of Mount Ida and Gina (B.J.) Strafaci-McCoy, of Heber Springs; 12 grandchildren, Jacy Rieves, Jaxon Rieves, Easton Rieves, Corbin Williams, Tayler Chamberlin, Gus Gray, Jessika McCoy, Elizabeth McCoy, Christopher McCoy, Ty McCoy, Stormi Mayberry and Zokorya Brannon; five great-grandchildren; his sister, Sherry Rieves, of Hot Springs; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
