Bristol police seek driver of pickup truck in hit-and-run crash

Bristol police said the suspect vehicle fled the scene of the accident west on Farmington Avenue toward the local Price Chopper supermarket.

BRISTOL — Police are searching for a pickup truck they say was involved in a hit-and-run on Saturday morning.

Bristol police said the car was heading south on Jerome Avenue around 9:50 a.m. Saturday when the accident occurred. The driver then fled the scene of the accident west on Farmington Avenue toward the local Price Chopper supermarket, according to police.

The accident involved one other car, according to a Bristol Police Department spokesperson. Police said the driver of the other vehicle was not injured.

Bristol police described the fleeing car as a black or dark blue 2007-2013 GMC Sierra 1500 with chrome bumpers, step boards, and “distinct” fender flares bearing silver or chrome rivets. They are attempting to locate the pickup and identify the driver at the time of the accident and the registered owner, police said.
