The Brooks LAB is back to inspire gravel riders to “chart their own course” with a new limited edition C17 Special LAB Cambium saddle. Sharing all the technical details of the popular natural rubber-topped, vegan Cambium C17 All-weather saddle, the limited Lab edition gets a unique sage green top adorned with contour lines…

Tech-wise, there’s nothing new to this C17 Special Lab saddle. But the core Cambium C17 is a versatile option for everything from commuting to adventure touring, with plenty of all-road, gravel & bikepacking riding thrown in. So a cool-looking limited edition is always worth another look.

Brooks’ C17 means it is the mid-width 164mm x 283mm Cambium, with a vulcanized natural rubber top. The new Cambiums all seem to move to this nylon fabric reinforced top that is UV, abrasion & water-resistant making them trouble-free riding and staying outside in all weather.

The Special designation means it gets a natural-colored base rubber, shiny tubular steel rails, anodized alloy rivets, and fiberglass-reinforced nylon nose & rear structure in a silver that looks like cast aluminum.

The Lab name comes from the limited edition Brooks Lab where they partner with various artists to give their standard products unique finishes. For the C17 Special Lab, that’s a series of topographic contours inspired by the adventures of the gravel & bikepacking riders who flock to the C17.

The new $150 / 140€ Brooks Cambium C17 Special Lab is available now globally in limited quantities, the same price as the other C17 Special & Recycled options, twenty bucks more than a basic C17. Brooks invites everyone to chart their own course and enjoy adventures far from the beaten track on top of the new saddle, while supplies last.
