File a Complaint Against an Officer

On October 10, 2022 at approximately 12:30 pm, police responded to a report of an impaired driver in the area of 13th street and Richmond Ave.  Police located and arrested the male in that area when he stopped to visit with family who were nearby.  He provided two samples of his breath, which were more than three times the legal limit.  The 27-year-old male was later released to sober family members and will appear in court on October 20, 2022 on charges of Driving While Ability Impaired and Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood.

Theft of Motor Vehicle – Suspect Arrested

On October 10, 2022, shortly before 10:00 pm, police responded to a report of a vehicle from the 200 block of 12th street.  Shortly before 2:00 am, police located the vehicle parked in the 100 block of Rosser Ave, and arrested the female who was sitting in the driver’s seat.  The 33-year-old female was also to abide by release conditions not to be in a vehicle’s driver’s seat without the owner present.  She was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Theft of Motor Vehicle and Fail to Comply with Release Order X3.

Break and Enter to Residence

On October 10, 2022, police responded to a report of a break and enter to a residence in the 1200 block of 6th street between 2:00 pm and 2:30 pm.  Suspects forced their way inside the home while the homeowner was out taking a walk.  Witnesses observed a male and female leaving the residence carrying a blue tote.  It is believed that while inside, suspects stole an Asus Laptop, a silver and blue X-Box 360, and a bankcard.  More items may have been stolen.

Fail to Comply with Release Order

On October 10, 2022, at approximately 1:00 pm, police responded to a report of a male at a residence while there was an individual there with whom he was to have no contact.  He was located hiding in the basement and arrested.  The 44-year-old male was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today on charges of Fail to Comply with Release Order.

Fail to Comply with Suspended Sentence

On October 10, 2022, police observed two individuals together in the 100 block of Louise Ave shortly before 9:00 pm.  One of the males was to abide by conditions not to communicate with the other male.  The 24-year-old male was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service.  He will appear in court today on a charge of Fail to comply with Suspended Sentence.

On October 10, 2022 at approximately 5:00 pm, police responded to a report of an intoxicated male in the area of Rosser Ave near E. Fotheringham Drive.  Police located the 21-year-old male who was in no condition to care for himself, and there was nobody to turn him over to.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 10, 2022, police responded to a report from witnesses who were concerned for the wellbeing of a child who was in the company of an adult male who appeared to be under the influence of illicit drugs.  The male and the child went into a residence and officers attended to check on the situation.  The 40-year-old male was found to be in no condition to care for their child.  He was taken into custody and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.  The child was taken to stay with extended family members.

On October 11, 2022 shortly after 1:00 am, police responded to a report of an intoxicated female causing a disturbance at a residence by throwing things around and out the window causing it to break.  To prevent her actions from continuing further, police arrested the 19-year-old female and lodged her at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 11, 2022, police received several calls shortly after 2:00 pm, from a female who believed that individuals had broken into or were attempting to break in to her residence.  Each time members attended, the female was alone and there was no sign of any break in.  Police determined that the female was under the influence of illicit drugs and was hallucinating the events.  To prevent her from continuing to make false reports, she was arrested and lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.

On October 10, 2022, police located and arrested a 20-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of Fail to comply with Release Order and Fail to Comply with Court Order X2.  He was lodged at Brandon Police Service and will appear in court today.

On October 10, 2022, police located and arrested a 43-year-old female who was wanted on outstanding charges of Theft Under and Fail to Attend Court.  She was later released and will appear in court on December 5, 2022.

On October 10, 2022, police located and arrested a 27-year-old male who was wanted on outstanding charges of CDSA Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and CDSA Possession.  He was later released to appear in court on November 11, 2022.
